K9
The Oconee Sheriff’s Foundation is proud to support our K9 Program, where some of our most dedicated officers just happen to have four legs and a wagging tail. These highly trained K9s are not only loyal partners to their handlers, but also invaluable members of our community, helping keep Oconee safe with their incredible skills, sharp noses, and tireless energy.
From tracking down missing persons to sniffing out dangerous substances, our K9 officers are always ready to answer the call. Their dedication to the job is unmatched—and let’s be honest, they bring a little extra charm to the force too. Below, you’ll meet each of our amazing K9 team members, learn their unique stories, and see how they’re making a difference in Oconee County every day.
We’re grateful for the support that made it possible to bring these remarkable K9s onto the team, and for the continued community contributions that keep our program going strong. Let’s meet the paws on patrol!
"Sully"
Meet Sully, the newest member of the K9 Squad at the Oconee Sheriff’s Office. Sully, a Goldendoodle, is our Emotional Support Dog for use with the Victims Advocate Team.
Sully was donated to the Sheriff’s Foundation for supporting those who have endured trauma. He is still in training, and if you stop by the Sheriff’s Office, you’re likely to see him during your visit.
"CHASE"
Meet Chase! He is trained in narcotics detection, tracking, and article area searches, and has been a wonderful asset to the OCSO K-9 Unit!
Chase was transferred to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office in 2022 from another agency in South Carolina. Chase is full of energy and is a loveable goof at times.
"Zeke"
Meet “Zeke”! Zeke is a 4 year old Lab-Malinois mix. He is trained in narcotics detection, tracking, and article area searches, and has been a wonderful asset to the OCSO K-9 Unit!
“Zeke” was purchased by the Sheriff’s Foundation in 2022 from the Clemson Police Department. “Zeke” is very spirited and a cute bundle of joy!
